Green-Down Protocol Quick Steps and Tutorials

Do you need help getting started? Here are some steps and tutorials to guide you through the Green-Down protocol!

Step 1: Select a site and a tree to monitor.

In this two minute protocol video, learn what is important to consider when selecting your GLOBE green-down or green-up monitoring site, how to choose a tree, and how to label your leaves.

 

Step 2: Use the GLOBE Color Guide to determine the color for each of your four leaves.

Step 3: Repeat Step 2 twice a week through fall, until all four leaves have dropped from the tree.

Step 4: Upload your data to the GLOBE database.

If you are having trouble with uploading data, check the Data Entry Tutorials.

Alternatively: use the GLOBE Observer app to make your measurements and upload data.
