Information for Presenters
Poster Session and Printing Requirements
The Student Research Exhibition and Community Poster Session will be on Monday, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (MST). Presenters must set up their posters in advance of the session by 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Posters will remain on display through Thursday.
For presenters who cannot bring their poster to the meeting, email the poster (as a PDF file) to globemeetings@ucar.edu and GLOBE will print it for the meeting. Attendees wishing to have GLOBE print their poster must email their file by 30 June.
Recommended poster size is 1.8 meters wide by 1.2 meters tall. Posters will be mounted on poster boards – provided at the meeting – that are 2.4 meters wide by 1.2 meters tall. To affix posters to boards, push pins and velcro will be available on site.
Oral Presentations
All presenters must email their presentations (as PowerPoint, PDF or Keynote files) to globemeetings@ucar.edu by 7 July. Presentation files should follow this template: “Name_Session Date”. Presentations created in Google Slides should be saved as a PowerPoint or PDF file. Be sure to also bring a copy of your presentation on a USB drive.
Presenters will be provided with a conference laptop, speakers, a projector, screen and internet access in the presentation room. You may not use personal computers for a presentation, so be sure to email your presentation ahead of time so it can be ready on the conference laptop.
In the first slide of your presentation, include a list of all presenters and collaborators. If you would like to use a GLOBE PowerPoint template, there are two versions:

The Curtis Hotel is about a 40-minute drive from the airport. If you rent a car, the Curtis Hotel charges a daily parking fee. For more information on parking rates, contact the hotel directly.
Ride shares (such as Uber and Lyft), taxis, rental cars and public transportation are available from the airport. For more information about bus and light rail transport into the city, visit the RTD Public Transportation Service website. All rides on the RTD (buses and trains) are free in July. To get to the Curtis Hotel from the airport by RTD, take the train to Denver downtown and then transfer to the 16th Street mall shuttle.
Weather and Clothing
The dress code for the Annual Meeting is business casual, but dinner on Thursday night will be a formal banquet. For the banquet, attendees are encouraged to dress in their regional attire or other dressier outfits.
Attendees planning for outdoor training sessions and the NCAR Mesa Lab tour should bring a hat, comfortable shoes, lightweight pants and a long-sleeved lightweight shirt for protection from bugs and the sun. The outdoor sessions will still happen even if it rains, so bring rain clothes.
